Join Bo Nelson of Thou Mayest Coffee Roasters for a sensory journey into the world of coffee. Discover how terroir and farming practices shape flavor, and explore the fascinating physiology of plants—how they transform soil nutrients into the rich tastes we experience in the cup.
Start by enjoying a welcome cocktail featuring Caffe Amaro, a liquor featuring Thou Mayest Cold Brew.
Guests will then be seated while Bo introduces some unique syrups and plant-based ingredients featured in the creative beverages at his cafés, Thou Mayest and Café Equinox.
Guests will enjoy three distinct coffee origins—Ethiopia, Colombia, and Sumatra—in both their unroasted and roasted forms. Plus, enjoy a special tasting of a surprise coffee that has been “barrel conditioned” in J. Rieger & Co. rye whiskey barrels, showcasing how dramatically flavor can be influenced.
The session will also feature tastings of specialty vanilla varieties and house-made syrups. And to carry the experience home, you’ll leave with samples of each bean we explore together.
Tickets include a welcome cocktail, a full coffee tasting, and a spread of pastries, parfaits, and fruit. Additional drinks and food are available for purchase.
