Everything You Need to Know about New Year’s Eve in Kansas City

Kansas City celebrates New Year’s Eve all throughout the metro. Whether you’re in Downtown KC, Westport, the Crossroads Arts District or Country Club Plaza—plus many other great neighborhoods—you’ll find parties galore and special ways to count down to 2026.

Take, for example, NYE Live! at the KC Live! Block in the Power & Light District, where you’ll find great DJs, confetti cannons, variety performances and more. Up north, head to The Village at Briarcliff for the New Year’s Eve Party at The View, a premium countdown experience featuring gourmet food, a live band and plenty more.

Check out New Year’s Eve at Kelly’s Westport Inn. You can ring in the upcoming year on Ireland time when the ball drops on the Emerald Isle at 6 p.m. KC time — and again at midnight KC time.

Book your own golf bay and add a different kind of swing to your New Year’s Eve celebration, whether at T-Shotz in the Northland or Topgolf in Overland Park.

For a truly elevated experience, spend the evening at Prime Social Rooftop’s New Year’s Eve Masquerade. Live music, a dessert bar, champagne toasts and more celebrations are made even sweeter in an upscale setting overlooking the Country Club Plaza’s sparkling lights.

Expect rip-roaring good times to ring in 2026 at some of Kansas City’s favorite performance venues, including Green Lady Lounge in the Crossroads Arts District or Guitars & Cadillacs for country music jams in Overland Park.

Head to Uptown Theater in KC’s Midtown for one of the city’s longest-running NYE parties. Spread across four spaces in the venue, there’s something for everyone including local DJs and a drag show on the main stage, plus a craft beer lounge and a margarita cantina.

Zoo Year’s Eve at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium offers a wild celebration for all ages, and the creativity will be flowing at Wonder Eve at the Regnier Family Wonderscope Children’s Museum.

During Noon Year’s Eve at Science City at Union Station, the interactive, hands-on science playground serves as a safe and fun environment for kids to play on the last day of the year. Traditions from around the globe come to live as the new year arrives in various parts of the world.
