Celebrate Independence Day along the riverfront with Riverfest, a full evening of family-friendly entertainment, including live music from the USAF Band of Mid-Americas Jazz Ensemble, great food, and, of course, an exhilarating fireworks show.

Head just 20 minutes south of Downtown KC to be wowed at the Overland Park Star Spangled Spectacular, an annual tradition that attracts thousands each year thanks to its 25-minute fireworks show, live music from the Overland Park Civic Band and the Elders, food trucks, activities for kids and more.

Visit the K for Fourth of July celebrations on July 4, as the Royals face the Cleveland Indians. Featuring a pre-game concert from Hi-Lux and fireworks to follow the game.

Have a blast at Worlds of Fun for BBQ & Boom on Tuesday July 3, and Wednesday July 4. Worlds of Fun will host a barbecue dinner with delicious options from house-made BBQ half-chickens, pulled pork, plus red, white and blue coleslaw, corn-on-the-cob, brews from Boulevard Brewing Co, watermelon wedges and strawberry shortcake. Family entertainment, live music, and fireworks at 10 pm.
