Celebrate the start of the Summer Reading Program at Vine Street Brewing. This year’s theme, Read, Score, Roar! features soccer-playing dinosaurs.
Summer reading isn’t just for kids — it’s fun for adults too.
Sign up and pick out a free book, mingle with other Kansas City book lovers, and listen to live music from saxophonist Adam Larson, who performs in the Groove Room starting at 7 p.m. Drinks are available for purchase.
Read five books between June 1 and August 15 to earn a prize – a pint glass for adults.
Don’t have a Library card? No problem! Anyone can register for the Summer Reading Program, including those visiting from elsewhere.
This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
