Ready to turn nature into art? Join Heartland Conservation Alliance for our inaugural Anthotype Workshop at Heartland Overlook Preserve!

An anthotype is an, eco-friendly photographic process that uses light-sensitive plant pigments and sunlight to create stunning prints.

 

During this hands-on workshop, you will:

  • Learn the history and technique behind the anthotype process
  • Forage for natural plant materials right on-site
  • Compose and set up your own prints to develop in the sun
  • Enjoy a guided nature walk around the preserve while your art develops

 

What to bring:

  • Plenty of water appropriate for your needs and weather conditions. There will be no running water on site.
  • Bug spray
  • Long pants and close toed shoes are highly recommended to protect against bugs.
