Calling all local artists and art-appreciators!

The 4th Annual HWBA Plein Air Event honoring Wilbur Niewald (1925–2022) brings local artists together to create side-by-side during the Historic West Bottoms Heritage Days celebration. Spectators can watch the magic unfold, and will even have the opportunity to purchase the original artwork created.

Sat, May 16 · Afternoon Quick Paint · Registration 12:30 p.m., Painting 1–5 p.m. · Liberty Courtyard · Judging at 5:10 p.m.

Sun, May 17 · Morning Quick Paint · 8:30 a.m., Painting 9 a.m.–Noon · 1601 Genessee · $500 Purchase Award

Sun, May 17 · Final Turn-In & Judging · 1 p.m. · Rock Island Bridge · Best in Show, Historic Preservation & People’s Choice Awards

All events are free for artists to participate with purchase awards at every session.
