The Kansas City Sports Commission, Visit KC, the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and local partners are honored to host six NCAA Division II national championships, welcoming more than 900 student-athletes to compete across Kansas City and surrounding areas.

The 2026 Fall Festival in Kansas City will include the following Division II Championships:

  • The 2026 Division II Field Hockey Championship, hosted at Pembroke Hill School in Kansas City, Mo.
  • The 2026 Division II Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships, hosted at Kansas University’s Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, Kan.
  • The 2026 Division II Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships, hosted at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
  • The 2026 Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship, hosted at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.

Division II is the only NCAA division that conducts “National Championships Festivals” – Olympic-style events in which several national championships are held at a single site over several days. The festivals are held on a rotational basis for the fall, winter and spring sports seasons, giving student-athletes a competitive opportunity to experience at least one during their intercollegiate athletics career. The concept was developed in the early 2000s as a way to provide student-athletes with a championship experience that exceeds what they normally would enjoy in their conference or NCAA postseason events.
