Join HCA and the Burroughs Audubon Society for a journey through two habitats along the Blue River. We’ll start by scouting the heights of the Heartland Overlook Preserve (HOP) for woodland residents and migratory visitors, then head down to the Alex George Wetland at 10am to see who’s splashing in the wetlands. It’s a perfect opportunity to see how different birds rely on the diverse landscapes along the Blue River.

We will have two stops on this field trip:

  • 2nd stop — Alex George Wetland (10633, 10831 Blue River Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131)
