Curated by UMKC students in the "History of Exhibitions and Curatorial Practice" Museums Studies class, this exhibition explores the intersection of art, activism, and social justice. Including photographs, protest signs, videos, and quilts. Fading Paint, Lasting Power: BLM in KC showcases the city's participation in the broader Black Lives Matter social movement.

This exhibition was put together with an Exhibition Advisory Group: Natasha Ria El-Scari, Vivian Bluett, Adrienne Clayton, and quilter Deneen Marshall.
