Anticipated Opening: Oct. 2026

The Park Hotel on the Plaza
Anticipated Opening: Fall 2026

Originally developed in 1925, The Park Hotel on the Plaza will soon welcome guests to Kansas City’s iconic Spanish-inspired district in refreshed fashion. AC Hotel & Residence Inn by Marriott
In the heart of Lenexa, KS, the dual-hotel development AC Hotel (132 rooms) and Residence Inn (129 rooms) by Marriott opened during the summer. The property includes over 5,000 square feet of combined meeting space and places guests just steps from shopping and dining at Lenexa’s City Center.
Aiden by Best Western Kansas City Downtown
Downtown KC has welcomed an additional 84 rooms to its hotel landscape with the recent opening of the region’s first Aiden by Best Western. The property is located within the historic Kessler Building, down the street from concerts at T-Mobile Center and after-hours entertainment at the Power & Light District. The hotel also features a modern business center and an onsite restaurant, Bistro on Oak, serving American fare.

Hilton Garden Inn Kansas City Riverside
Located off I-635 near the KC Current Women’s Soccer Training Complex and outdoor venue Morton Amphitheater, the 134-room Hilton Garden Inn Kansas City Riverside opened in May 2026. The hotel is part of the KC Current’s campus development, and includes over 2,300 square feet of meeting space, casual American-stye dining at its onsite restaurant, Garden Grille, and an indoor pool.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Overland Park South
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites opened in May 2026 and is part of the growing Bluhawk mixed-use development centered around the AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk. The 99-room hotel is located adjacent to the facility, which features indoor ice rinks, versatile sports courts, training facilities, family entertainment, and diverse dining options.
Tru by Hilton Liberty Kansas City
Located less than 25 minutes from Kansas City International Airport, Tru by Hilton Liberty Kansas City offers attendees a modern stay in Liberty’s historic downtown. Guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast, dedicated areas for quick meetings, and easy access to I-35 to get to and from KC’s top attractions.

Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City
Island vibes have arrived with the 2025 opening of Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City. With 229 rooms and signature Margaritaville amenities, guests can kick back and enjoy a piece of paradise in the Midwest. The new property is just minutes away from popular Kansas City, Kansas, attractions like Sporting Park, Kansas Speedway and the Homefield KC youth sports complex.

AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown
The new 238-room AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown held its grand opening in September 2024 after taking over the historic Rialto Building. Just steps from premier attractions like T-Mobile Center, the Power & Light District and the Kansas City Convention Center, guests will be able to dine at AC Kitchen + Café or enjoy drinks and Spanish tapas at AC Lounge before exploring the city.

Origin Hotel Kansas City
In September 2024, the 118-room Origin Hotel Kansas City opened its door, making it the first hotel to take up residence in the city’s thriving Berkley Riverfront.
This new boutique hotel is within walking distance of the history-making CPKC Stadium, home of the KC Current, and the nearest Kansas City Streetcar stop. Origin Hotel also features over 4,800 square feet of meeting space, farm-to-table dining at its onsite restaurant, Show Pony, and locally inspired art throughout.
Atwell Suites Kansas City Airport
Less than 3 miles from Kansas City International Airport’s new, nationally recognized terminal, the Atwell Suites Kansas City Airport opened in November 2024. This 104-suite property is designed to help travelers seamlessly switch between work and rest with coworking spaces, a private meeting room and a 24-hour fitness studio.
Tru by Hilton Kansas City Airport
Opened in 2024, the 98-room Tru by Hilton Kansas City Airport is just four miles from Kansas City International Airport and offers a complimentary shuttle for easy arrivals and departures. Guests can enjoy a free hot breakfast each morning, with quick access to the KCI Expo Center and nearby shopping and dining at the Zona Rosa shopping district.
WoodSpring Suites Kansas City Airport
Open since October 2024, WoodSpring Suites Kansas City Airport offers 122 all-suite accommodations just over 10 miles from Kansas City International Airport. Each suite features a full kitchen, giving groups and extended-stay travelers the flexibility to work, dine and relax on their own schedule.
Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Kansas City at The Legends
Welcoming guests since September 2024, this 88-room Fairfield by Marriott is close to Kansas Speedway, Tanger Kansas City at Legends, Monarchs baseball stadium, Sporting Kansas City and Atlas9.
With complimentary breakfast, an indoor pool, fitness center, and flexible meeting space, the hotel is perfect for teams, families, and groups looking to stay near the action with easy access to I-435 and I-70.

Cascade Hotel Kansas City
Kansas City is also still celebrating the October 2023 opening of the Cascade Hotel Kansas City in the luxurious Country Club Plaza neighborhood.
With 175 rooms, this modern hotel offers a food hall with four unique restaurant concepts, a rooftop bar, full-service spa, and stunning views of the Plaza’s Spanish architecture. The property also has nearly 15,000 square feet of meeting space with its largest room able to hold 450 people for events of all sizes.
Aloft Kansas City Country Club Plaza
Its sister property, Aloft Hotel Country Club Plaza, opened in January 2023. The $100 million dual-hotel development is connected via a walkway, allowing guests to take advantage of amenities at both hotels.
Renovations & Remodels

Hilton Country Club Plaza
The Hilton Country Club Plaza completed an $8 million renovation in June 2023. All 257 rooms saw upgrades, as well as public spaces approximately 2,800 square feet of event space and more.
In Development
Kansas City’s hotel scene continues to grow, with several newly announced and highly anticipated properties expected to arrive by the end of the decade. Here are three to keep an eye on.
The Riff Hotel
The Riff Hotel will introduce a music-themed boutique hotel to Downtown Kansas City, blending hospitality, nightlife and entertainment. Developers also plan to activate the Rock Island Bridge district with floating riverboat event spaces featuring food and beverage programming. The hotel will include 12 suites, a speakeasy inspired cocktail bar and a private first-floor club.
UMusic Hotel
Set to take over the historic Scarritt Building, UMusic Hotel will bring 169 rooms and a unique music-centered experience to the Central Business District. Part of a larger development, the mixed-use project also includes a 1,400-seat music venue, retail space and residential units.
Stealth Hotel
The Stealth Hotel will add 165 rooms near Kansas City International Airport’s new single terminal, providing a convenient lodging option for attendees traveling to and from the Heart of America. Amenities will include flexible meeting space, on-site dining, a fitness center, and a pool. This will be the first new-build at the airport since 1974.
