This summer, the world’s largest sporting event comes to the Heart of America. Kansas City will host six matches for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, and local businesses and attractions aren’t wasting any time getting ready to welcome fans from near and far. 

From internationally inspired tees to soccer-themed sweets and celebratory brews, here’s how fans can soak in the FIFA World Cup 2026™ spirit this summer in Kansas City. 

  • Local retailer Charlie Hustle has taken its classic KC heart tee global with designs featuring the flags for all the teams playing in Kansas City. Find them online or at Charlie Hustle locations.
  • KC chocolatier Christopher Elbow Chocolates has released a special 4-piece Goal Chocolate Collection, available only at its Crossroads location. It includes flavors like “Ref Raspberry” and “Pitch Perfect Pair,” delicious ways to celebrate the FIFA World Cup.
  • Kansas City’s iconic Union Station is ready for a summer of soccer. The historic landmark has added interactive experiences, activations, photo opportunities and more. In the Grand Hall find a tailgating zone, a match-viewing experience, a 30-foot in-motion sculpture and more. Then in the Grand Plaza, local makers and entrepreneurs will have a public marketplace every Thursday through Sunday from June 11 through July 12.

  • Local chocolatier Andre’s Chocolates & Confiserie Suisse has created a world tour in chocolate, inspired by this summer’s World Cup. Find seven new bars inspired the teams playing and staying in KC like almond toffee chocolate for England and dulce de leche chocolate for Argentina.
  • The Country Club Plaza, KC’s famous outdoor dining and shopping destination, has announced a lineup of family-friendly World Cup celebrations. At the Plaza Pitch, soccer fans will find the upper level of the Central Parking Lot transformed into a soccer pitch for lawn games, pickup matches and matchday pop-ups. A new mural “The World Plays Here” has also been unveiled on the Plaza.

  • KC-area grocer Price Chopper will host a series of “Kickoff to the Cup” events featuring giveaways, contests, Sporting KC ticket offers and more family fun. Details: May 30, Lee’s Summit; June 7, Overland Park; June 13, Lenexa.
  • Family favorite Crown Center plans to be KC’s center for summer soccer. At Crown Center Square, visitors can explore a 90-foot soccer mural designed by Hallmark artists, a 15-foot soccer ball for photos, a soccer darts challenge for kids, and more fun.

  • Missouri’s Shatto Milk Company will release nine commemorative bottles of milk featuring special flavors for each team playing and staying in Kansas City. Customers will be able to find them at select KC-area grocery stores or at the company’s Osborn, Missouri, store, located just one hour north of Downtown KC. Shatto has also released three “World Cow”-themed glasses for this summer, plus other merchandise.
  • McLain’s Bakery has released a special soccer-themed menu of sweet treats for watch parties, festivals and more this summer.

  • Northland bakery Cookie Bliss KC has launched custom cookie sets designed for each team with a base camp in KC and for each upcoming match. Cookie sets are available for pre-order, and during June and July, a selection of World Soccer cookies will be available for purchase at its Northland location.
  • Betty Rae’s Ice Cream has released new pints of “world-class flavors” unique to each country staying and/or playing in Kansas City during the FIFA World Cup™. Find them in local grocery stores in April and May before fans can grab a scoop at all 13 Betty Rae’s locations in June.

  • Burger Shed, located inside the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Olathe, has transformed into a soccer-themed pop-up this summer. World Cup fans and diners will find match watch parties, soccer-themed decor and burgers worth cheering for — all in a family-friendly atmosphere. 
  • ‘One World, All Heart KC’: Local grocer Hy-Vee will sell World Cup-themed rally flags at KC-area locations starting June 12 with proceeds benefitting Ronald McDonald houses in Kansas City, Argentina, England and the Netherlands.
  • Russell Stover Chocolates has created a limited-edition heart-shaped Soccer Capital of America gift box, available exclusively in Kansas City. Find it at Sporting Park on Sporting KC gamedays, select KC retailers, and Russell Stover retail locations in KCK and Merriam.

  • Parisi Coffee has unveiled a limited release Soccer Capital of America coffee, available for purchase online and in KC-area Parisi cafes.
  • Local grocer Hen House Market has created Taste Flights featuring signature dishes inspired by countries playing and staying in Kansas City. Every Saturday leading up to the World Cup, customers can sample a new country’s Taste Flight. The during the tournament, Hen House will host Kickoff KC tailgate celebrations at select locations, featuring KC barbecue, global flavors, family activities and more.
  • Boulevard Brewing Co. will launch a spin-off of one of its iconic IPAs this summer in celebration of the FIFA World Cup™. The Space Camper Star Striker IPA features New Zealand hops and “pairs well with celebrations and Kansas City barbecue.” It will make its debut on May 28, and $1 of every Striker IPA sold will go to the KC Sports Commission
