Join us for a one-of-a-kind event that brings Kansas Citians of all ages and backgrounds together to celebrate community, connection, and resilience.

The self-led, 3.1 mile Hike for Reconciliation will guide you through Troost Avenue, Troost Park, and the east side of Kansas City. Along the way, you’ll encounter reflection stations that highlight both the lasting impacts of racial segregation, discrimination, and disinvestment — and the incredible resilience and strength of our neighbors.

After your hike, the celebration continues with a family-friendly block party right in front of Reconciliation Services! Troost Avenue will come alive with music, games, bounce houses, and hands-on activities for all ages — and delicious food from Thelma’s Kitchen.
