Join us for our new History Highlights tour series! Each monthly Saturday tour features our professional museum staff, who get to highlight their favorite stories, research, and collections around Shawnee Town 1929.

We’ll be taking a “Tour of the Truck Garden!” Visit our working 1920s-style vegetable garden with our staff and explore the summer crops, planting techniques, cold frames system, and learn about all aspects of the biggest industry in Johnson County 100 years ago – including why it was called “Truck Farming!”

This tour is included with General Admission. Space is limited, and first-come first-serve. **Friends of Shawnee Town Members are entitled to FREE general admission (based on their Membership Level). This Tour will replace the normal 11:00am guided tour time that day. Normal tours will be resume again at 12:00pm.
