KC Hotel Updates and Renovations

New hotels continue to dot the landscape in Kansas City, offering up-scale accommodations, dining, amenities and more.

Kansas City offers plenty of great places to lay your head, grab a bite or hold a meeting. In fact, the metropolitan area already touts more than 36,000 hotel rooms—with 6,500 committable rooms in the convention core.

Since 2020, two new hotels have opened, with three more set to open in fall 2024. From historic renovations to brand-new properties, here is the latest buzz on KC’s hotel renaissance. Check back often as this page is updated regularly.

Opening Soon

AC Hotel Kansas City

AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown – The new 238-room AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown is slated to hold its grand opening this September 2024 after taking over the historic Rialto Building.

Just steps from premier attractions like T-Mobile Center, the Power & Light District and the Kansas City Convention Center, guests will be able to dine at AC Kitchen + Café and then enjoy drinks and Spanish tapas at AC Lounge.

Origin Hotel KC

Origin Hotel Kansas City – Opening in September 2024, the 118-room Origin Hotel Kansas City will be the first hotel to take up residence in the city’s thriving Berkley Riverfront.

Origin Hotel will also feature over 4,800 square feet of meeting space, farm-to-table dining at its onsite restaurant, Show Pony, and locally inspired art throughout.
