Parents! Join us as we celebrate Week of the Young Child! Starting THIS SATURDAY, Week of the Young Child is a fun-filled celebration of young children and their families with an entire week of dedicated programming and special activities, all age-appropriate specifically for young learners.

Week of the Young Child is sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the world’s largest early childhood education association.

Our schedule of special activities:

Saturday, April 11th: Lil’ Explorers Saturday Kickoff
Children will have the chance to be little scientists and do age-appropriate science experiments in the PNC Learning Lab.

Monday, April 13: Music Monday
Science City is closed today, but we’ll release a fun music video on our Facebook Page about how to create your own instrument at home.

Tuesday, April 14: Tasty Tuesday
In the PNC Learning Lab, we’re trying one fruit for every color of the rainbow! Rainbow eating = healthy eating. Adult supervision is required. While supplies last.

Wednesday, April 15: Work Together Wednesday
Children will be making native plant seed pods that they can take home to plant throughout their community.

Thursday, April 16: Artsy Thursday
Guests will be working on a collaborative art piece, a handprint rainbow! Come add your handprint to our growing piece.

Friday, April 17: Family Friday
The whole family is invited to a special story time inside Science City! Begin your journey in the PNC Learning Lab, then explore the science center with story stops along the way, before returning to the PNC Learning Lab for the grand finale.

All activities are included with Science City admission or free for members.
