The South Kansas City Block Party at Red Bridge Shopping Center on Saturday, October 10th is the annual celebration of South KC! The event is hosted by Red Bridge Shopping Center and the South KC Chamber of Commerce. This year’s Presenting Sponsor is Cable-Dahmer Automotive Group. Starting at 10am and running until 3pm, there are lots of fun activities and shopping opportunities. Around 100 tents of local artists, crafters, businesses, non-profits, and community organizations have lots of items to browse (think early holiday shopping) and learn about. Kid-friendly activities include face painting, caricature drawings, balloon art, games, trucks to explore (including a KCFD Fire Truck from 11-1) and lots of giveaways. There will plenty of food from Caleb’s Breakfast & Lunch, Daily Limit, Barrio, Crows Coffee, Sweet Granada, and Farm Fresh Market. Food trucks including Kona Ice and Sweet Peaches will add to the fun. Live music and entertainment will feature area student performances along with Big Time Entertainment and their dueling pianos. 

Admission is FREE! Parking is available in the lot just of west of the FEMA building at Holmes & Minor Drive (enter from Minor Drive), in the shopping center, and in the surrounding neighborhoods.
