Calling all local artists and art-appreciators!

The 4th Annual HWBA Plein Air Event honoring Wilbur Niewald (1925–2022) brings local artists together to create side-by-side during the Historic West Bottoms Heritage Days celebration. Spectators can watch the magic unfold, and will even have the opportunity to purchase the original artwork created.

The weekend’s final painting events in the West Bottoms will take place:

Sun May 17 · Morning Quick Paint · 8:30 AM, Painting 9 AM–Noon · 1601 Genessee · $500 Purchase Award

Sun May 17 · Final Turn-In & Judging · 1 PM · Rock Island Bridge · Best in Show, Historic Preservation & People’s Choice Awards

All events are free for artists to participate with purchase awards at every session.
