Hosted by Hella Good Deeds, the Lunar New Year Night Market returns to Zhou B Art Center Kansas City on Saturday, February 21, from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Now in its third year, this signature community event celebrates the Year of the Fire Horse and invites the public to gather for an immersive evening honoring Asian culture through food, art, music, and shared tradition. For one night, the Art Center transforms into a bustling night market—creating a warm, festive environment where families, friends, and neighbors can come together to celebrate, explore, and connect.
Guests can browse a diverse lineup of local vendors offering delicious food, original art, apparel, and handmade goods while enjoying a full evening of cultural programming. Highlights include dynamic lion dance performances, live DJ sets, karaoke throughout the night, photo booths for capturing memories, and a dedicated game room featuring a mahjong tournament. Kid-friendly activities such as face painting and interactive games make the event accessible and engaging for attendees of all ages. More than a celebration, the Lunar New Year Night Market uplifts Asian-owned businesses and artists, supports local creatives, and fosters cross-cultural exchange—reflecting Zhou B Art Center KC’s commitment to inclusive, community-driven programming that strengthens Kansas City’s cultural landscape.
