The Leavenworth Council on Aging will host its annual Meals on Wheels Benefit on Saturday, August 16, 5-9 pm at the Riverfront Community Center in Leavenworth. Seats are $40 each; a table of 8 is $300 (a savings of $20) and can be purchased at the COA, 711 Marshall (or at the door until supplies last) with cash, check or by PayPal with our QR code.
This year’s event theme of “Dancing Through the Decades” will feature a live DJ with Carrioke Productions and will highlight songs and dances from the 1950s through 2000s. Come dressed in your favorite fashions from the 50s-today! In addition, the event will feature dinner by J.W. Crancer’s, a wine and bourbon pull, live auction, “Chances to Win” raffle, a sweet shoppe booth, “Heads and Tails” split the pot, photo booth and an Adopt-a-Heart booth, allowing attendees to “adopt” older adults and veterans currently enrolled in the Meals on Wheels program.
