The Kansas City Blues Society invites you to join them for a glorious celebration of “Women in Blues” at BB’s Lawnside BBQ. It’s their 5th anniversary special show featuring two women-led bands who perform all genres of blues music.  We feature Haley Burke and the Hawks, a talented trio of young musicians who are rising stars on the Kansas City music scene. They represented Kansas City at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, in January 2026 where they stole the show in the Youth Showcase category. They are wowing audiences wherever they perform. The headliner is Lady Dee and the Shadow Daddys, a 5-piece band from Wichita, KS who have been winning over audiences for years with their exciting brand of music. They are a band that has melded their instrumental talent with vocal supremacy and audience interaction which brings the magic directly to you. Lady Dee is known for her soulful voice and masterful blend of blues, soul, R&B, and gospel styles and, along with the Shadow Daddys, provides a high caliber performance that will have you on rocking out on your feet.
