Experience local art, community and history in front of one of the best backdrops in Kansas City on May 17th at the newly opened Rock Island Bridge.

The Kaw Social, sponsored by Port KC, is a FREE public event designed to connect people with the spirit of the Kaw tribe and the history that continues to shape the West Bottoms district. This year’s gathering will include:

🎵 Live music at the American Royal Hall on the Rock Island Bridge from 12-3pm

🎶 Live music by Beth and Brandon from 2:30-4pm

😋 Local food trucks

🎨 Original artwork judging, awards and opportunities to purchase

🧠 Educational booths

✅ And more!

Plein Air Final Submissions will also be on display for judging and sale. Kansas City locals and visitors are encouraged to view the works and purchase framed paintings from many of Kansas City’s best outdoor painters. Take home a little history and unique original artwork!

This event is FREE and open to the public. Just show up and enjoy.
