Kansas City Ballet offers an eclectic repertory of ballets ranging from the traditional classics to exciting contemporary new works. Kansas City Ballet is a 30-member professional ballet company under the direction of Artistic Director Devon Carney and Executive Director David Gray. Their professional company, the second company (comprised of KCB II and Trainees), professional dance school, and many community programs, seek to nurture and develop the artists, audiences, and students in the values inherent in the creativity, diversity, and joy of dance. Our home, the Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity on the campus of Union Station, in conjunction with our Resident Company status at the world-class Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, has truly positioned Kansas City as a Destination for Dance. Kansas City Ballet’s season includes 3 productions during the fall, winter and spring seasons in the Muriel Kauffman Theatre at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The company also presents The Nutcracker at the Kauffman Center throughout the month of December. For ticket information contact KC Ballet box office at 816.931.8993 or e-mail boxoffice@kcballet.org. Kansas City Ballet School offers Studio classes for adults and Academy classes for students aspiring toward a professional career or dancing for enjoyment. We offer a summer intensive program in downtown Kansas City for ages 11-21, as well as a variety of summer courses at both campuses (The Todd Bolender Center for Dance and Creativity and the South Campus at Meadowbrook). Call Kansas City Ballet School for more information at 816-931-2299 or e-mail school@kcballet.org.
