Join us on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, for an elegant New Year’s Eve celebration at Tannin Wine Bar & Kitchen. Enjoy a four course dinner, optional wine pairings and a festive night of live jazz as we count down to 2026 together. Music begins at 10:00 pm and continues until 1:00 am, featuring Kansas City jazz artists Brant Jester and David Chael. Celebrate the new year with great food, great wine and great company in the heart of downtown.
About the Musicians
Brant Jester
Brant Jester holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from Missouri State University and the University of Missouri Kansas City. He is an active jazz pianist, instructor, adjudicator and accompanist in Kansas City and is the former pianist of the Missouri Jazz Orchestra. Brant is also a jazz DJ for Jazz in the Afternoon on 90.1 FM KKFI and serves on the board of UMKC Jazz Friends. He has performed with Bobby Watson, Lynn Seaton, Bob Bowman, Julian Coryell, Rick DiMuzio, Dave Scott, Zaid Nasser, Peter Schlamb, Randy Hamm, Matt Otto, Marty Morrison and comedian Todd Glass. Brant also composes and arranges for jazz ensembles and choral groups and is the resident composer and arranger for the Springfield Chamber Chorus.
David Chael
David Chael is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University and the University of North Texas where he performed with the One O’Clock Lab Band. He performs regularly throughout Kansas City with Bram Wijnands, the Roger Wilder Quartet, Westport Art Ensemble, Kerry Strayer and the New Kansas City Seven and Horacescope. David also works for the Social Security Administration.
