Join us for the 2025 Art in the Loop Closing event on October 2nd, 5:30 p.m. Enjoy live performances and hear from the 2025 artists!

Art in the Loop organizers and participants look back on the artistic works and performances featured from June to September. Art directors Jade Osborne and Khyneesha Edwards will lead a presentation highlighting all the offerings, and selected artists present their works and discuss their experiences.

The event includes musician David Luther, and Firetale Theatre.

Art in the Loop is designed to make cultural experiences available to downtown residents, visitors, and workers. The closing event is co-presented by the Art in the Loop Foundation, the Downtown Council and KC Streetcar Authority.

A reception and live performance will start at 5:30 p.m. followed by the program at 6:00 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public; however, we do ask that you RSVP for planning purposes.

2025 marks the 12th year of the Art in the Loop Project. The Art in the Loop Project is a curated outdoor exhibition of temporary artworks presented in partnership with the KC Streetcar Authority.

The 2025 Art in the Loop theme “Wonder” encourages artists to be curious about our community and how we relate to each other.  How do we live together with differences? What’s your next step? What’s important to you and the greater community? What’s the focus? What’s serving me? What’s serving my community? What is your true north? Another aspect of wonder is the emotion excited by something strange or surprising. Artists are encouraged to explore the concept of wonder and express their curiosity about the Kansas City community in their submissions for this year’s project.
