Check out a video of one of our urban hikes https://www.relive.cc/view/vJOKoM8QewO We offer public hikes on the weekends and are happy to set up a private hike for your group. All of our hikes are around 5 miles long, so you get your exercise as well as learn KC's history and get to see places off of the beaten path. We offer an urban hike in the Crossroads Art District & Westside, Strawberry Hill Kansas City, KS and our newest *winter* urban hike is the Plaza Lights and Crestwood Hike. Description of New Plaza Lights & Crestview Urban Hike Starting Point- Valencia Grand Staircase at McCormick & Schmick's See the Plaza details up close and learn the history of the surrounding area. The hike route includes beautiful murals, attention to KC's international cities and pioneers who crossed where we stand on what was the Santa Fe trail. We discuss the role J.C. Nichols played in the efforts to segregate neighborhoods and the history of that era that shapes our city today. We venture into Loose Park and Crestwood, then return via the Harry Wiggins Trolley Track Trail. The hike includes steep hills and a staircase climb finale for an overview of the glowing Plaza lights!
