One of Kansas City’s favorite entertainment destinations is dialing up the energy for a major summer.
The Kansas City Power & Light District has a nonstop series of events to welcome fans, and the KC Live! Block—featuring a performance stage and outdoor TV screen surrounded by two stories of entertainment venues—is at the center of it all.

Watch parties

One of Kansas City’s most recognizable gathering spaces is welcoming fans in memorable fashion this June and July.
Events at the KC Live! Block has appeared on TV screens across the globe, full of crowds cheering on past World Cup matches and Super Bowl victories. Now, as KC brings the world’s biggest tournament to its own turf, there are more chances than ever to join the action in the downtown neighborhood.
Admission for watch parties (and all events except concerts) is free.
Note: During several match days featuring the Mexico National Team, the KC Live! Block will co-host watch parties with Telemundo Kansas City. These events will be primarily delivered in Spanish, with supporting English-language commentary from Nate Bukaty.
Here’s the full schedule of KC Live! Block watch parties in June, with additional matches joining the lineup in July as knockout rounds are confirmed:

- Doors open at 1 p.m. Match at 3 p.m.

- Saturday, June 27: England vs. Panama and Argentina vs. Jordan

Live entertainment
Between matches, the celebration continues. From internationally-recognized performers to live podcast performances, it’s certain to be a special summer at the Live! Block. Don’t miss these events inspired by global cultures and the beautiful game.
- BRESH: Originating in Argentina, BRESH brings a one-of-a-kind party to the KC Live! Block on Monday, June 15. Don’t miss the energy as a diverse selection of music, pink lights and glitter flood the district.
- Netherlands Big Oranje Party: Join Oranje supporters for a celebration of the Netherlands national team on Thursday, June 25. Doors open at 9 a.m. Then, at 11 a.m., the crowd will begin its famous fan walk through downtown Kansas City.
- BUNT.: The German electronic-folk DJ brings a performance to the Power & Light District at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 26.
Plus, watch live recordings for six special episodes of the Heart & Goal podcast throughout the tournament. Hosted by Nate Bukaty with KC soccer stars and co-hosts Benny Feilhaber, Matt Besler, Graham Zusi and Roger Espinoza, the show explores Kansas City’s place as a host on the world’s biggest stage.

Between matches or during your own halftime break, the Power & Light District provides plenty of choices to refresh and refuel.
Sample the classics of Kansas City’s famous barbecue (along with a few creative twists on the cuisine) at County Road Ice House. Find sushi and sashimi at Blue Sushi Sake Grill, steaks at 801 Chophouse or more upscale dining at Bristol Seafood + Steak + Social.
For a quicker and more casual option, turn to Pizza Bar, Johnny’s Tavern or Modern Market Eatery. Fans staying nearby can begin the day at Mesuggah Bagels or HomeGrown Kansas City.
After hours, it’s easy for outings in the district to stretch late into the night.
One of Kansas City’s premier nightclubs, Mosaic keeps the energy high. Continue the evening with Latin flair Besos y Abrazos, or sneak away to a more sublime pick for cocktails at Kill Devil Club. More bars like Shark Bar and PBR Big Sky keep their doors open until 2 a.m. or later on weekends.
One of the district’s most vibrant destinations is known for its tropical inspiration, DJ performances and a rooftop that delivers dazzling city views. Palm Tree Club brings island living to the heart of the Midwest through its dishes, drinks and atmosphere.
Finally, don’t miss the soccer fandom and friendly competition found at No Other Pub. It’s a sprawling second-story venue in the Live! Block offering foosball, bowling and many more games, along with plenty of televisions to watch every match. No Other Pub is the official bar of Kansas City’s Major League Soccer Club, Sporting KC.
How to get there
The Kansas City Power & Light District is in the heart of downtown Kansas City. It can be reached via the Power & Light stop on the free-to-ride KC Streetcar. From there, KC! Live is just two blocks away.
Power & Light is also within walking distance of major downtown hotels, including the Kansas City Marriott Downtown, the Loews Kansas City Hotel, the Hilton President, the Crowne Plaza Kansas City, Hotel Kansas City and Hotel Phillips.
