This summer, Kansas City is at the heart of all the action as a FIFA World Cup 2026™ host city. Fans from near and far can gather at the FIFA Fan Festival, a free community celebration. The event will take place across 18 days of the tournament, from June 11 to July 11.
Here’s everything you need to know about the chance to take part in this one-in-a-lifetime celebration.
The basics

- Dates: June 11-14, 16, 19-21, 24-27 and July 3-5, 9-11
- Hours: Hours vary by day to accommodate match kickoff times, live performances and other special events. The full schedule is below.
- Location: Festivities are being held on the grounds of the National WWI Museum and Memorial.
- Match broadcasts: More than 30 matches will be shown live on screen at the event, including all six matches hosted in Kansas City.
- Live entertainment: Dozens of live performances are slated to take the stage. Highlights include the Chainsmokers, Flo Rida, Sheryl Crow, the All-American Rejects and Tech N9ne.
- Cost: Kansas City’s Official FIFA Fan Festival™ is always free to attend. Additional VIP experiences are available for purchase. Registration is required for all attendees.

Location

Kansas City’s Official FIFA Fan Festival™ takes place on the grounds of the National WWI Museum and Memorial, located in the heart of downtown Kansas City.
On FIFA Fan Festival™ dates, the institution is offering a special all-access ticket that provides admission to the National WWI Museum and Memorial as well as the festival.
Rated the #1 attraction in Kansas City by TripAdvisor, the museum is an essential experience in the Heart of America. Visitors can expect unparalleled views of the KC skyline along with an expansive collection of stories from the First World War on display in immersive fashion.
Throughout the year, the museum serves as a community gathering place, hosting rotating exhibitions, commemorative events and large‑scale cultural moments. On view through mid-September, The Beautiful Game examines the global impact of soccer and its connections to World War I.
How to get there
The KC Streetcar provides free service from major downtown districts to the FIFA Fan Festival™ via the WWI Museum & Memorial stop. The Streetcar operates from 5 a.m. to midnight, Sunday to Thursday, and 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., Friday and Saturday.
ConnectKC26 Region Direct service provides transportation to FIFA Fan Festival™ from more than a dozen locations across the KC metro area. A one-day Region Direct pass can be purchased for $5, or a 7-day pass for $25.
Free ConnectKC26 service is also available between Kansas City International Airport and a transportation hub two blocks from the festival.
