Head to the City Market for one of the day’s signature events hosted by KC Streetcarand Art in the Loop. A lineup of live performances from The Royal Chief, The DynamitExperience, BodaciousThang and FK MENACE offer the perfect way to wrap up the day. 6 to 8 p.m 

At Kansas City’s Power & Light District, enjoy a free 816 Day Celebration featuring food special, a local vendor market, kids activities, live entertainment, food trucks and more. See the full schedule and specials here. 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Celebrate 816 Day at J. Rieger & Co. in the East Bottoms. The KC distillery is having an all-day bash including live music in Electric Park, a vendor market with Strawberry Swing, a kids corner, plus $8.16 drink and food specials. Noon to 8 p.m.

Zona Rosa will host a free 816 Block Party at its Central Park, complete with live music, a live painting, appearances and photo opportunities with KC sports teams, kids activities and more. Plus, participating Zona Rosa stores and restaurants will offer special 816 deals. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Country Club Plaza is hosting its first 816 Day celebration with experiences across the district. Visitors can enjoy storefront window displays featuring artwork by students from across the Kansas City metro, a festive photo opportunity, live music, and complimentary floral bouquets. Noon to 4 p.m.

Kansas City International Aiportwill celebrate with a week’s worth of pop-up events and specials. Travelers can find an 816 balloon display all week, plus cocktail samplings, book signings and more on select dates. Multiple airport vendors will 816 Day deals throughout the week. Want more time to celebrate 816 Day? Between July 31 and Aug. 16 you can compete in a friendly game of Scavenger Hunt Bingo via the Downtown KC Neighborhood Association. The Midtown KC Now group is also challenging locals to a game of Kansas City Crossword.

Both games let you discover new destinations and revisit old stomping grounds around Kansas City. Just check in at different businesses to be eligible to win prizes.
