The Brookside Art Annual is back and bigger than ever! From May 1–3, 2026, Kansas City will celebrate four decades of artistic excellence at this beloved regional art show. Now in its 40th year, the event showcases more than 170 juried artists from across the country, drawing thousands of art enthusiasts each spring. Visitors can explore an extraordinary variety of artwork, from paintings and sculpture to innovative mixed media creations.

One of this year’s highlights is featured artist Scott Hildebrandt, who transforms everyday vintage items—radios, boomboxes, clocks, and gumball machines—into intricate miniature worlds. His work captures imagination and creativity in a way that’s both nostalgic and fresh, making it a must-see for collectors and casual visitors alike.

The Brookside Art Annual isn’t just about art. Guests can indulge in mouthwatering food and refreshing drinks, making it a perfect weekend outing.
