Your Guide to Kansas City
Welcome to Kansas City—Heart of America, City of Fountains and the proud home of the2025 Nursing Organizations Alliance Annual Meeting & Leadership Academy. We hope you’ll spend your time here discovering everything KC has to offer, from famous favorites (barbecue, anyone?) to deeply significant cultural institutions (you’ll find the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and the American Jazz Museum under one roof) and hidden hangs that are guaranteed to dazzle (add Swordfish Tom’s to your list).
Here’s where to start exploring during your weekend in Kansas City.
Near Downtown Kansas City
Your host hotel is just steps away from the popular Kansas City Power and Light District, a vibrant neighborhood featuring premier group dining restaurants, festive bars and live entertainment.
Take the Streetcar
Thanks to the KC Streetcar, you’re minutes away from the River Market, the Crossroads Arts District, Crown Center and more. It’s free to ride and doesn’t require a ticket—just step aboard at the Metro Center stop at 12th and Main and you’ll be on your way. And starting on Oct. 24, 2025, a new 3.5-mile extension will stretch the route even further south to popular neighborhoods like Union Hill, Westport and the Country Club Plaza.
