Some of the most meaningful moments in music happen when the barrier between the artist and the audience disappears. Zhou Spirit and Song was created to make space for those moments.

Hosted inside the galleries of Zhou B Art Center Kansas City, Zhou Spirit and Song is an intimate seasonal concert series that celebrates original music, authentic storytelling, and the artists behind the songs. Each event invites audiences beyond a traditional performance and into an immersive experience where music, visual art, and community exist together in the same space.

Designed to showcase emerging and established musicians across a wide range of genres including soul, folk, indie, R&B, jazz, pop, Americana, singer-songwriter, and genre-defying music, the series places the focus on artistry rather than spectacle. Every performance is an opportunity for artists to share not only their music, but the stories, experiences, and inspiration that shaped it.

The inaugural edition of Zhou Spirit and Song features Kansas City singer, songwriter, and performer Jamogi, whose soulful sound and heartfelt songwriting set the tone for a series rooted in vulnerability, artistry, and community.
Doors open at 6:30 PM, with live music from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, creating an evening that invites guests to slow down, engage with the artwork throughout the galleries, and experience live music in one of Kansas City’s most unique cultural spaces.

Whether you’re a lifelong music lover, an art enthusiast, or someone simply looking for an unforgettable evening, Zhou Spirit and Song offers a place to gather, listen, and celebrate the creative spirit that connects us all.
