Sugar Creek’s 38th Annual Slavic Festival Friday, June 7 & Saturday, June 8 The 38th Annual Sugar Creek Slavic Festival returns on Friday, June 7, from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and Saturday, June 8, from noon until 11:00 p.m. at the William Henry Harrison Park and Mike Onka Pavillion, located at 11520 E. Putnam, Sugar Creek, MO 64054. Admission is $5 for adults, children 12 and under are free. Slavic Fest celebrates the history of Eastern and Central communities in Kansas City and will feature the rich contributions of Women in Slavic Arts. Experience Kansas City’s rich Slavic heritage with two days of music, food, dance, drink, arts, fashion design and the traditional food from Croatia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Serbia, and Poland. Five-time Grammy nominee, LynnMarie and the Polka Guys will kick off the entertainment with the Baric Brothers, Hrvatski Obicaj, Sugar Creek Tamburitzans, Kolo Kids & Kolo Adults Dancing and DJ Kolace.
