Looking for something fun to do during the holiday week, between Christmas and New Year’s Eve? Grab your friends, bundle up, and join Laura, with Cowtown Tours, on a winter, cold-weather walking tour. This mystery tour will use the KC Streetcar to transport us from place to place. While you won’t know where we’re headed, here are a few clues:
- The City Market stop is a spicy one! Your nose will know before you even enter the space that you’re in for a treat.
- The Kauffman Center stop is for our map geeks in the crowd.
- The Union Hill stop is featured every March as a must-visit location.
- The Westport stop used to be a famous dance school.
Every stop will include a visit to a locally-owned business with century-long ties to the Kansas City area. Because the weather could be chilly, we’ll hang out inside their historic buildings with enough time for a little shopping, to learn about their business, and to warm up. This is a cold-weather walk, so please dress in layers, and wear appropriate footwear. The tour will proceed, unless the sidewalks are icy. Full refunds will be given if the tour is canceled due to icy sidewalks.
