Performed by the outstanding Jazz Ensemble Directors Reading Band, this special concert honors the centennial birthdays of Miles Davis and John Coltrane with music inspired by their enduring legacy, along with selections by Charlie Parker, Count Basie, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Bill Evans, and more. Featuring an all-star lineup of Kansas City jazz educators and performers, this free concert is a must for jazz lovers of every generation.
