City in Motion Dance Theater will celebrate its 41st season with a full-length dance concert titled “Along The Way” on Saturday April 18th at 7:30 pm, and on Sunday April 19th at 3pm, at City Stage Theater in Union Station. On Friday April 17th, a dress rehearsal will be open for community engagement. The show includes new works by Co-Artistic Directors Ann Shaughnessy and Bobbi Foudree, new works by company dancers Anna Boehm, Allay Lu Freeman, and Maria Kennedy, as well as new works by guest choreographers Suzanne Ryanstrati, and Olivia Emert. This season the company includes returning dancers Anna Boehm, Johnny Dihn Phan, Allay Lu Freeman, and Maria Kennedy, and welcomes new members Liza Heeler, Aili McFall, Lillian Himmelberg, Clara Houske, and Anna Parks, as well as apprentices Elease McFall, Victoria Flagg, Erinn Bird, and Kira Michaela.

Tickets are $25 general admission; $18 for students, seniors, and Union Station members.

Sunday April 19th 3:00pm. Matinee show with a public reception afterwards.

“Along The Way” is an opportunity to take a look at where we are in this journey together, to reflect on significant events in our lives, or to recognize those we have met “along the way” who have had an impact on us. Each choreographer has created a unique piece influenced by different experiences and ideas. Come see a variety of choreographic styles and artistic perspectives, and be sure to meet and celebrate with City in Motion Dance Theater dancers and board members by attending the reception after the Sunday matinee.
