My KC Video Series

Artist Scribe brings public spaces to life with graffiti-inspired murals that transform buildings and alleys—and even Children’s Mercy Hospital—into impressive works of art that help redefine Kansas City’s makeup.

Explore some of his Kansas City favorites:

Find this interactive arcade Downtown in the three-story Garment House, a one-of-a-kind entertainment destination featuring live music, food, games, a speakeasy and more. Old-school to modern, joystick to VR, there’s no shortage of ways to play—and, even better, Scribe’s own work adorns the walls.

Live jazz in Kansas City is simply a must, and The Phoenix is one of the city’s most soulful clubs. Check the calendar for performances from local favorites like Lonnie McFadden and Ms. Eboni Fondren.

The quirky 39th Street West neighborhood is home to Fric & Frac, an easy-going hangout known for its wide assortment of dining options, including sandwiches, sausages, salads, burgers and more.

Also located on 39th Street, this Chinese food establishment specializes in dumplings of the pan-fried, steamed and boiled variety. The winning combo: Split an order of dumplings to start, and follow it up with a savory noodle or rice dish for yourself.
