Stretched across 202 acres in beautiful Swope Park, the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium has inspired a love of wildlife and conservation in families for more than 100 years. That mission continues today through hands-on conservation efforts including a growing live coral tank and specialized care for animals like Tortellini, a sea turtle brought to the Zoo through rescue efforts.

With ongoing improvements and exciting new additions, the Zoo offers something new around every corner, from encounters with more than 1,700 animals to family‑friendly attractions, live entertainment and accessible exhibits designed for all ages.
