Flying into Kansas City is one of the most convenient arrivals in North America, with many travelers arriving nonstop or with just one connection. The new single terminal at MCI, open since 2023, welcomes visitors with upgraded technology, locally inspired dining and retail, streamlined security and convenient gate access.

Less than three hours from either coast, MCI continues to expand its nonstop service across the U.S. and Mexico—making it easier than ever for attendees to meet in Kansas City.

Daily nonstop service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) beginning April 2026

Southwest Airlines:
Weekly nonstop service to Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) beginning March 2026
Daily nonstop service to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) beginning June 2026
Weekend service to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) and Norfolk International Airport (ORF) beginning June 2026
Increased frequency to LAX, Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA)

Delta Air Lines:
Twice-daily nonstop service to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) beginning June 2026

Getting to and From MCI

Driving between the airport and downtown KC usually takes 20 to 25 minutes. A parking garage with 6,200 spaces and a location adjacent to the terminal, plus dedicated curb spaces for taxis, ride sharing platforms and shuttles, were all designed to maintain the airport’s convenient experience as travelers arrive and depart.

Rideshare: Lyft, Uber, z-Trip and Iris operate throughout Kansas City, including service to and from Kansas City International Airport.

Rental cars: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, Sixt and Thrifty are available at Kansas City International Airport, with service operating from an offsite facility accessible by a quick, free shuttle.

RideKC: Route 229 operates between Kansas City International Airport and downtown Kansas City every day of the week. Service is available hourly, operating approximately 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. View the 229 route schedule here.
