As Kansas City hosts the 2026 FIFA World Cup, AfroKC offers an immersive cultural experience that reflects the global spirit of the tournament , welcoming international visitors and local communities to connect through African art, fashion, music, and entrepreneurship.

Founded in 2024 in Kansas City, AfroKC creates a space where heritage is honored, innovation is celebrated, and community connection becomes transformative.

This immersive experience brings together local artists, designers, performers, small businesses, and cultural leaders to showcase the richness of Afrotraditions influence across fashion, visual arts, storytelling, food, and global traditions. From runway moments to live performances, from curated art exhibits to marketplace vendors, AfroKC bridges generations and backgrounds in one shared celebration.

AfroKC is intentionally inclusive, welcoming all cultures, all ages, and all communities, while centering authenticity, education, and economic empowerment. The event supports minority-owned businesses, fosters cross-cultural collaboration, and strengthens Kansas City’s identity as a global, creative hub.
