The Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship returns to Kansas City, March 7-12, 2024. For the first time, the championship will be played at T-Mobile Center, which will serve as the host venue for the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship through 2027.
Championship bracket will be available as the 2024 postseason approaches.
Kansas City was the initial host of both the Men’s and Women’s Championships in the first six years of the Conference (1997-2002), and again in 2005, 2008 and 2010-12. The men’s postseason event has continued its run in KC since 2010, while the Women's Championship returned in 2021 after the cancellation of the 2020 event. Both Championships will be played in Kansas City through 2027.
Iowa State claimed the title in 2023 after defeating Texas in the championship game, 61-51.
Ticket sales will begin as the 2024 postseason approaches.
The Reading & Fitness Challenge returned in 2023, inviting students (K-6) to read 12 books and complete 12 hours of fitness activity by Jan. 31. Winners were invited to join a celebration during the morning session of the Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship at Municipal Auditorium on Friday, March 10.
