Sprint Center Policies

Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited inside Sprint Center: Backpacks, pocket knives, weapons of any kind including concealed permits, laser pointers, outside food or beverage, coolers, tablet devices larger than 7 inches, fireworks, frisbees, beach balls, spurs, artificial noisemakers including cowbells, clappers, thundersticks, horns and whistles.

Sign Policy

The Big 12 reserves the right to limit the size of hand-held signage (typically no larger than one person can hold) and remove signage that includes commercial logos or does not convey the ideals of college athletics. Signage deemed to block the view of other guests will be removed.

About the Championship

Big 12 Championship at Sprint Center

The 2018 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship will be held at the Sprint Center in downtown Kansas City on Wednesday, March 7, through Saturday, March 10. This will mark the ninth consecutive year the event has been held at the Sprint Center. The 2018 championship will be the 17th held in Kansas City (1997-2002, '05, '08, '10-'17). Other cities to host the event include Dallas (2003-'04, '06) and Oklahoma City (2007, '09).

Iowa State claimed the title in 2017 after defeating West Virginia in the championship game, 80-74.
