Kansas City’s Big 12 Run
Kansas City’s Big 12 Run will take place virtually in 2021, allowing runners to choose their course and time. Registration for the 5K or 12K is $40, and all participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a custom finisher’s medal.
Virtual Food Drive
The Big 12 will hold a Virtual Food Drive benefitting Harvesters—The Community Food Network. All Big 12 fans are encouraged to contribute to the fundraiser while showing allegiance to their respective team. All donors will be entered into a drawing to win autographed memorabilia from their favorite Big 12 team. Presenting sponsor Compass Minerals will match each donation up to $10,000 as part of its Big 12 partnership.
Big 12 Blood Drive
March 10-12 at Municipal Auditorium
Presented by the Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City, the Big 12 Blood Drive will be held on the first floor of Bartle Hall in Room 2215 from 2 to 7 p.m. on March 10 and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 11 and 12. Appointments are strongly recommended and can be made at savealifenow.org or by calling 877-468-6844. Registered donors at this blood drive will be eligible for a drawing to win a piece of autographed memorabilia from their favorite Big 12 men’s basketball coach. All donors are asked to wear masks and temperatures will be checked at the door with social distancing protocols in place.
Hoops Central at Power & Light
March 10-April 5
The Power & Light District will be open for all March Madness games to provide fans a comfortable, outdoor space to enjoy the tournament. Groups of four or more are encouraged to make reservations in advance if they’re hoping to watch a specific game. All non-reserved tables will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
