The third annual Downtown Dazzle returns to Kansas City for the holiday season this December providing downtown guests with unique holiday experiences and activities, all connected by our city’s new crown jewel, the KC Streetcar. Special holiday trolleys will supplement the streetcar route and connect downtown guests with even more experiences, activities, attractions, dining, and businesses. All details are being coordinated now by three different committees dedicated to making this year’s Downtown Dazzle the best yet and laying the groundwork for spectacular downtown holiday experiences for years to come.

As a downtown business, there are opportunities for your business to get involved and help build the excitement for Downtown Dazzle 2016. Your business can take advantage of these promotional and digital marketing opportunities by providing a prize/giveaway for each of or any of the bulleted items below.

  • VIP swag bag gifts – The Downtown Dazzle committees are putting the final touches on three custom weekend experiences, all geared toward a specific demographic.
  • Shopping-driven Experience: Saturday, Dec. 3 and Sunday, Dec. 11

  • Urban Homes Tour: Saturday, Dec. 10
    • Target audience: Prospective downtown residents, ages 22-70, from new college graduates to empty nesters looking to make downtown their new home.

  • Blogger swag bag gifts – Three different groups of local bloggers will be hosted to experience different Downtown Dazzle experiences, all geared toward a specific target. Each blogger will receive a Downtown Dazzle welcome swag bag and be active on their social media channels during their experience. Most will also publish a post-experience blog post.

PLEASE NOTE: Bloggers are influencers and have influential followings. In fact, they have more influencer than traditional media in reaching their targeted audiences. Because of this, you will want to provide a gift or giveaway of fairly high value. If you do and the bloggers enjoy the experience you offer them, your business could receive its own dedicated blog post at some point in the future.

  • Social Media giveaways – The Downtown Dazzle social media channels are key marketing and promotional elements used to generate awareness and excitement for the downtown holiday experiences. There are ongoing opportunities tied to the social media marketing starting now through the holiday season. Jump on board now!
  • Mobile app – The Downtown Dazzle mobile app will incorporate a fun, gaming element for the 2016 event. With the basic idea of a downtown scavenger hunt, the gaming element will bring an entirely new level of digital interaction to Downtown Dazzle in 2016. The Downtown Dazzle app is optimized for social media sharing by users.
    • To participate, please provide a gift card or package experience with a minimum value of $25.00. Multiple gift cards or package experiences can be provided. The more value your gift card or package experience has, the more prestige it will be given. For instance, a prize valued at $100.00 will require more from the gamer than a prize valued at $25.00 and will receive more marketing and promotion behind it, as well.
