Das Plaza Tennis Center ist eine öffentliche Tennisanlage im Freien in Kansas City. Das 1928 erbaute und in einer Parklandschaft gelegene Plaza Tennis Center dient der Tennisgemeinde von Kansas City seit Generationen.
Plaza Tennis Center—nestled next to Country Club Plaza, the Midwest’s oldest outdoor shopping and dining area—features 14 outdoor lighted tennis courts, a practice board and a clubhouse. The exhibition court offers bleacher seating.
The United States Tennis Association Missouri Valley became operating manager of Plaza Tennis Center in 2024. The Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department invested in the facility by resurfacing every court in the spring of 2024.
Plaza Tennis Center is home to the Rockhurst University men’s and women’s tennis programs as well as the University of Missouri-Kansas City women’s tennis team. The Rockhurst High School boys’ tennis team and the St. Teresa’s Academy girls’ tennis team also compete at Plaza Tennis Center.
The facility is the host site of USTA Missouri Valley events such as league section championships.
The facility is open to players of all ages and skill levels. It offers private lessons, classes, social play and court time.
