The team always did things together and gave me a sense of family within the company. This internship had to by far be the best experience here in Kansas City!"

Cara Oldenhuis - Visit KC Intern Summer 2014

"To me, the best part of being a Visit KC intern was that I didn't actually feel like an intern most days. From my first day, I was given assignments that put my skills to the test and directly contributed to the success of team initiatives. With each task, I was challenged in a way that prepared me for my future career. The marketing department also made me feel like an integral part of their team during f my summer internship. Whether it was allowing me to voice my opinions during important meetings or simply just inviting me out to lunch, I truly felt valued as an intern. I am very grateful for the connections made and lessons learned at Visit KC. To top it all off, I also gained an immense appreciation for Kansas City and all the wonderful things it has to offer during my time as an intern."
