Created by The Record Machine, Middle of the Map Fest celebrates its 6th year with performances from more than 100 bands at various venues throughout Kansas City.
Fiesta Mexicana- May 5, 7 & 8, 2016
The Guadalupe Centers continues to bring to the community its Cinco de Mayo Fiesta for its 25th consecutive year! This neighborhood tradition originally started in 1922, making it the original Cinco de Mayo Fiesta in Kansas City.
Cinco de Mayo 5-Que - May 7, 2016
This family-friendly event takes place along Southwest Boulevard and is a part of Kansas City’s Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, hosted by the Guadalupe Center. There’s a 5K Run/Walk, 1K Walk and Kids Fun Run!
Food Truck Friday - May 6
As the KC Streetcar rolls by a couple of streets over on Main, Food Truck Friday takes over the Kansas City Star parking lot on Grand Blvd. Great bites await from Wilma's, Boo Yah!, El Tenedor KCr, Pie Hole, Pip's Burgers KC, Simply Frosted, Torched Goodness, Little Italy KC, Plantain District, Drasko’s, Jazzy B's Diner and Ollie's Local.
KC Ballet presents Rite of Spring - Opens May 6
This mixed-repertory program includes Helen Pickett’s Petal, Yuri Possokhov’s Diving into the Lilacs, and a world premiere by Viktor Plotnikov who is known for his contemporary and intense aesthetic. All music played live by Kansas City Symphony.
