Racing season is well underway, and if you enjoy high speed, adrenaline pumping thrills, you don’t have to just watch it on TV. You too can drive a 600-hp car at the Richard Petty Driving Experience.

Located at Kansas Speedway (and 18 other professional racetracks across the country), the Richard Petty Driving Experience offers participants a range of high speed racing fun.

Drive Petty

Owned and operated by Petty Holdings, LLC, Richard Petty Driving Experience is the worldwide leader in NASCAR stock car drive and ride entertainment. The company also produces and facilitates auto manufacturer drive and ride programs, safe driving programs, mobile marketing events and motorsports-related production services for the television and film industry.

At Kansas Speedway, the Rookie Experience is 8 fast-paced laps, while the Kings Experience offers 18 unforgettable spins. Then there’s the Experience of a Lifetime, allowing you to hightail it over two dozen times; and the Racing Experience, 50 intense laps that’ll leave you breathless. In total, there are 16 different driving experiences, although some are only offered at certain racetracks.

If you’d rather not drive, then go for a shotgun experience with one of their trained professionals at speeds up to 165 miles per hour! The Ride-Along experience is 3 fast paced laps sure to raise your blood pressure, and the Junior Ride-Alongs give kids between the ages of 6 and 13 something to brag about when they go back to school.

But if you really want to feel like you’re participating in all of the NASCAR action, opt for a Race Ride, a Ride-Along held during select NASCAR Sprint Cup weekends with the roar of the crowds in the stands. The next Race Ride at Kansas Speedway will be Saturday, May 7.

So, if you like NASCAR, or just have a lead foot, then check out the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Kansas Speedway!
