Shatto Milk Company will be holding their 12th annual open house, “Family Day at the Farm”, on September 26th, 2015. The farm is just a short road trip north of Kansas City in Osborn, MO and is favorite among locals and visitors who find themselves enjoying this KC-area treat! While enjoying Family Day, you'll get to:

  • Tour the farm.
  • Pet the baby calves.
  • Milk a cow.
  • Learn how our milk is processed.
  • Enjoy a Hay Ride (weather permitting).
  • Enjoy free snacks (while supplies last).
  • Register for prizes.
  • Sample Shatto products.

Local author Traci Angel highlights the Shatto Milk Company in her book, 100 Things to Do in KC Before You Die.

shatto milk jarsA trip to most supermarkets in Kansas City can result in purchasing flavored milk in throwback glass bottles from Shatto Milk Company. The dairy farm and bottling operation is an hour north of Kansas City, and while it is big enough to cater to needs in a hundred-mile radius, it's also small enough to offer tours nearly every day.

Take the tour! It's worth the trip to see the cows in their element, watch the milking and bottling process and then sample the latest flavor--banana, coffee, cotton candy, root beer--the company has to offer. If you start looking you'll find that Shatto milk is a key ingredient at local restaurants and cafes.

For more information on the tour and the Shatto Milk Company, call the farm at (816) 930-3862.
