Sprint Center is Kansas City’s home for sports, concerts, family shows, collegiate competitions and special events. Anchor to more than $4.5 billion of reinvestment in a revitalized downtown Kansas City, Sprint Center is a unique public/private partnership between the City of Kansas City and AEG.
Kansas City’s phenomenal reception of Sprint Center programming resulted in the venue exceeding attendance projections, as to date, with more than 4.7 million guests attending more than 400 events. Having exceeded financial projections in each year since opening in 2007, AEG/Sprint Center has provided more than $6 million in unanticipated revenue to the City of Kansas City through a revenue sharing provision in the arena management agreement. I really wish there was more organization in the ticket lines. I bought my tickets ahead and I was there 20 min before the event started and didn't get in until and hour after it started. So, I paid $73, drove 200 miles, and missed at least a third of my event. I was very unhappy that there was no organization with customer service when I planned ahead and paid full price and conveniece fees etc to miss 1/3+ of the event. Especially when others got the same tickets or better tickets for $10 a piece. Unless I have no other choice I will not be attending another event at Sprint Center. The tickets were overpriced and seating didn't give a very good view. I feel that I could have received the same view in a section that I would have paid half or less of the price.

We went to the Sprint Center for the Big 12 Tournament and had a great time! The seating is so good not a bad seat in the house. Everyone working at the Sprint Center were very kind and couteous. I do wish they would remind you outside of the building that you will be going through a metal detector. I had a pocket knife in my pocket that had great sentimental value to me and they took it and I asked if after the games on my way out I could get my knife back and the security officer proceed to tell me that everything goes to the KCMO Ploice department and that i would have to go there to colect it back. They did not take any information nor did they ask me for any. I called the police department and they said that the sprint center should have given me some paperwork on this. They also said they have not received any property that was confiscated at the Sprint Center as of 9 am on Monday, two days after the tournament was over.
So if you are going to the Sprint Center Please empty your pockets of anything metal that will set off the detectors. I am all for the detectors but they should have a way to claim your property after the event is over that you are attending. This was a very expensive knife but more than the actual cost of it also had a great sentimental value to it in which I cannot get if I was to purchase a new one.

There are many reason to love KC but we love it because it's a beautiful and easy place to raise our family. And its only getting better! My kids love the new downtown (finally something to do downtown) The Sprint Center is a wonderful new attraction to KC (and the Police show my kids loved would not have been the same in Kemper) With Fall on the horizon, cooler weather, leaves turning it all is a reminder of what a spectacular place we live in. (Not to mention that residents of KC and the midwest are really what makes KC what it is)
The image attached is of my daughter Katie at the Sprint Center.
cheers to you.

We hadn't been to Sprint Center yet and decided to see the Walking with Dinosaurs show. Both the Sprint Center and the show were amazing. It's pretty hard to believe this is Kansas City.
