Photographs and artifacts from the days in the 19th Century when Kansas City was a leading wholesale distributor of textile products and then becoming, after World War I, one of the largest manufacturing centers in the country for ladies, men's and children's apparel. The museum is located in an historic building situated amidst many other buildings erected at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th Century and just across the street from the shady and restful Garment District Place Park. The entire District was listed in the National Registry of Historic Places in 1973.
